About me
Andy Maehl is a first-year master’s student at Texas A&M University and a Graduate Research Assistant in Dr. Kate Davis’s lab. His research focuses on enhancing the resilience of the power grid through cyber-physical models and tools.
Prior to joining Texas A&M, Andy worked as an Electrical Field Test Engineer for a Montana-based company. In this role, he specialized in substation commissioning and testing for new wind and solar projects across the U.S., collaborating with engineers, construction crews, and clients to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems from Montana State University in 2021.
Outside of academics, Andy enjoys supporting both Montana State and Texas A&M athletics. He is passionate about the outdoors and spends his free time skiing, running, and fishing.
