Rizwan is the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Programs at San Jacinto College, where he oversees the development and delivery of information technology and cybersecurity education and training programs for students and professionals. Rizwan also serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Cybersecurity at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service and Lone Star College, where he teaches courses on cybersecurity fundamentals, frameworks, and standards. Additionally, Rizwan serves as the Vice Chairman of Alliant, a leading provider of business services, digital consulting, and cybersecurity services for American businesses.
With over 20 years of experience in enterprise operations, risk management, cybersecurity, data privacy, and business operations consulting, Rizwan has helped hundreds of organizations across various industries navigate the complex and evolving digital, business, and compliance landscape. He possesses a strong background in engineering, having worked as an electrical engineer in the semiconductor manufacturing industry before transitioning into professional services. Rizwan holds multiple certifications in cybersecurity and risk management, including CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CISM, and others. Rizwan is pursuing his doctoral research at Penn State University, examining the responsible and secure implementation of artificial intelligence in enterprise environments, with a particular focus on cybersecurity and compliance within small to medium-sized defense manufacturing.
